Executive Burnout Recovery in Thailand

Executive stress & CEO burnout syndrome explained

From time to time, everybody feels a little stressed at work. However, it’s only relatively recently that executive stress and burnout has been recognized as serious occupational health hazard and classified by the World Health Organisation. Though not technically considered a medical condition because it applies specifically to workplace stress, burnout syndrome can adversely affect almost all aspects of a person’s life.

When executives can’t stop themselves from feeling overwhelmed, recovering from burnout without specialist help can seem next to impossible. That’s why we only use the most advanced, proven techniques and treatments at our rehab for burnout.

Common causes of executive stress and burnout include:

  • Job insecurity
  • Long working hours
  • Tight deadlines
  • Feeling undervalued
  • Unfair compensation
  • A lack of leadership

Executive burnout is often mistaken for depression. However, while workplace stress can cause or worsen depression, executive burnout is an illness described as a state of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion. If you want to know more about the causes and effects of CEO burnout, call the specialists at our CEO burnout coaching and counseling retreat.

How do you overcome burnout?

According to some experts, you can overcome burnout and stay motivated by taking frequent, short breaks while working, locking away digital devices, taking long weekends, and introducing new hobbies into your life. However, recovering from burnout syndrome can often be next to impossible without help from an executive burnout recovery centre.

What are the 5 stages of burnout?

The 5 stages are commonly observed as the Honeymoon Phase, Onset of Stress, Development of Chronic Stress, Burnout, and eventually, Habitual Burnout. If you frequently feel chronically stressed or burnt out at work, you might want to discuss your needs with a rehab for burnout that offers treatments such as CBT and meditation.

How long does it take to recover from burnout?

How long it takes to recover from burnout depends on the severity of a person’s problem and how long they neglect it for. Some people are able to recover from a burnout within a few weeks or months following treatment at an executive burnout recovery center. For others, the process can be ongoing, often lasting years.

What does burnout look like?

People who experience burnout may exhibit symptoms such as behavioural changes. They may distance themselves from their peers and colleagues. Many people experience physical symptoms such as chronic fatigue, headaches and exhaustion. If you think you may be going through a burnout, you might want to learn more about modern stress burnout treatment programs.

How do you treat burnout?

Some people can treat burnout without help by limiting their alcohol consumption, getting more sleep, practicing mindfulness techniques and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. However, many executives who experience burnout can suffer for years if they fail to get treatment at reputable executive stress and burnout retreat.

How is Burnout syndrome diagnosed?

Too often, burnout goes undiagnosed, which can have devastating consequences for the individual. How can I help my loved one?

At The Diamond Rehab Thailand we are experts in getting your loved ones into treatment. To start you can show your loved one our website and they will probably soon take an interest in our treatment center. If need be, we also can arrange an intervention at your home done by a professional interventionist arranged by The Diamond Rehab Thailand.

What is the process of rehabilitation?

The process may differ, as programs are customised based on what the patient needs as well as the severity of the addiction or mental illness, but the goal of rehabilitation is always to ensure the individual’s well-being. Most treatment programs include: evaluation, detox or the clearing of alcohol and other drugs out of your system, psychological treatments, education sessions, and supportive services. When you transition into outpatient therapy, you may still have one-on-one or group therapy sessions and to some patients, these may last for the rest of their lives.

How long will it take?

This depends on the situation. E.g. does the client need a detox? Is addiction the main problem or are the underlying issues more concerning? It is important that the client finish what he/she signed up for. Overall, we advise that 6 -8 weeks in treatment is average and gives the client a good foundation to start a new life at home with the proper aftercare.

How much therapy do I get?

At The Diamond Rehab Thailand, our clients get 3 group sessions per day, 3 one-to-one sessions per week, one one-one session per two weeks with the psychiatrist. Besides that, we offer a lot of sports, mindfulness, exercise, and outings.
