Luxury Substance Abuse Rehab in Thailand

Substance abuse harms us and the people around us on every level. To escape from the smothering grip of addiction, a person needs to take a holistic approach to recovery. At The Diamond Rehab Thailand, each client receives a personalized treatment plan in a serene, luxurious environment.

Exclusive substance abuse retreat

Getting well requires the right surroundings, where all negative influences are left at the door. Our 5-star villa is designed to provide the peace and comfort clients need and support their journey to recovery.

A holistic approach to substance abuse treatment

Overcoming substance abuse requires more than abstinence or strong will – it asks us to look at the root causes. For this reason, our holistic therapies don’t treat just the disorder, they find and deal with the underlying cause as well.

Many people who come for substance use treatment also suffer from some mental health condition. While the majority of rehabs treat one or the other, our dual-diagnosis treatment tackles both the physical dependence and the accompanying mental illness at the same time.

Treatment Tailored To you
Treatment tailored for you

Your story is yours alone – one size does not fit all. We’ll first listen carefully, and then use all our experience and skills to create a plan that suits you. Coping with substance abuse is difficult, but with the right tools, your chances increase significantly.

Time for a change?

We at The Diamond Rehab believe in treating the underlying issues, which are the root cause of each disorder. Each treatment program is individually created, based on the client’s needs by our world-class staff.

What is substance abuse?

Substance abuse describes using a specific substance in a way that wasn’t intended, or in amounts that exceed the recommended dose. This has harmful consequences on a person’s health and can lead to substance addiction (also known as substance use disorder).

What are the causes of substance abuse?

The causes of substance abuse are multifactorial and, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine, include genetics, stress, social pressure, personality, and mental health conditions. When creating effective treatments for our clients, we consider all of these factors.

What substances can be abused?

Substances that can be abused include alcohol, illicit drugs, and prescription drugs. The most commonly abused substances are listed below:

  • Marijuana: A hallucinogen obtained from Cannabis sativa. Chronic cannabis use causes cognitive impairment, worsening of mental health illnesses, and pulmonary disease.
  • Alcohol: A psychoactive substance found in alcoholic drinks. According to the World Health Organization, alcohol abuse causes over 3 million deaths worldwide every year.
  • Opiates: Drugs used to treat pain and sleep disorders, derived from the poppy plant. Examples include opium, codeine, morphine, and heroin. Synthetic opiates are called opioids. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, opioid use disorder caused 74.8% of all drug overdose deaths in the United States in 2020.
  • Cocaine: A central nervous system stimulant, it is derived from the Coca plant. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, in 2021, in the United States, 24,486 people died from a cocaine overdose.
  • Methamphetamine: A central nervous system stimulant, meth is a highly-addictive synthetic drug. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, in 2021, in the United States, 32,537 people died from a non-cocaine drug overdose, the majority of which is attributed to meth.

How does substance abuse become substance use disorder?

Substance abuse indicates that a person still has control over their life and their habit. They are still able to stop and regain control.

However, without timely and effective intervention, casual use can turn into severe substance abuse and then substance addiction.

Substance addiction indicates a state where a person is physically or psychologically addicted to a substance. Their body craves increased doses, and the person experiences withdrawal symptoms when not taking the substance. At this stage, a person requires professional help.

What we treat

Our staff specializes in treating all substance use disorders and their root causes, such as:

  • Cocaine
  • Ecstasy (MDMA)
  • Crack
  • Ice (Methamphetamine)

  • Marijuana

Substance abuse rehabilitation at The Diamond Rehab

In a safe and comfortable environment, we welcome all clients who have decided to turn their lives around. No prejudice, no judgment – only unconditional support and collective effort towards reaching the common goal.

Personalized plan and supervised care

Getting well is not possible in a crowded and chaotic environment. To ensure every client receives our undivided attention, we limit the number of people that stay at our rehab at any given time.

This results in more effective therapy – whenever you feel like talking, somebody will be there to listen, 24/7. Combine this with individualized treatment plans, and you’ll set yourself on the path to success.

Daily access to experts

Getting help should never be put on hold. We don’t believe in waiting on scheduled appointments. Our doctors, therapists, and all supporting staff are on call all the time so they can help you when you experience a crisis, not two days later.

Five-star accommodation

Our addiction treatment center offers the ultimate luxury to every client. You get a private room with room service, your own swimming pool, and all the commodities you can imagine. The villa is located in the most beautiful part of Hua Hin, Thailand, surrounded by picturesque nature.

  • Personalized nutrition

Nutrition is one of the pillars of your well-being. At The Diamond Rehab Thailand, we won’t stress you with a pre-determined meal plan. Our world-class chefs will prepare food you love, every single day. You can also get halal or kosher meals, allergen-free options, and other specific meal plans.

  • Favorite activities

To help our clients feel good during the recovery period, our center offers a wide range of fun activities. They are not mandatory of course, but our experience tells us that experiential therapy and taking part in solo or group activities eases the mind and relieves the negative consequences of withdrawal. You can go snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, boating, horse riding, and enjoy many other recreational activities.

  • Fraction of the price

Getting world-class treatment and accommodation at a significantly lower price is now a reality. Thanks to Thailand’s lower living costs, our top-level accommodation, staff, and hospitality are considerably more affordable compared to similar luxury rehabs in the Western world.

  • Schedule your arrival

You’re allowed to get well on your own terms, and we’re here to support you. At our center, you can schedule your arrival. We understand your busy lifestyle and we’ll make sure you get help whenever you need it.

Wonderful program. Craig and Travis are excellent at what they do. After 4 weeks here, I feel hopeful for the first time in years. Facilities are indeed luxurious. Food was great. Excellent value for the price when compared to any quality rehab in the USA.

I just spend 6 weeks at the Diamond Rehab. My life has changed 180 degrees. I was broken, desperate and I already tried one other center before, but their program only focused on addiction. At the Diamond Rehab I finally figured out why I was drinking for more then 20 years. The staff is so friendly, the therapists knowing exactly what they are doing and how to get to the bottom of the problem. I think that Diamond Rehab saved my life looking at how I felt six weeks ago and now is like I am a different person. I will continue aftercare with them and as they teach me here, today is the first day of the rest of my life, I will practice that every day. Thank you Diamond Rehab team, for everything!!

I've been home for about a month now after spending 60 days at The Diamond, and I'm still processing the experience. When I first arrived, I was sceptical and scared. I'd tried other programs before, and nothing seemed to stick. But from the moment I stepped off the plane in Thailand, something felt different. The staff at The Diamond were welcoming but not overbearing. They gave me space to settle in and adjust at my own pace. My private bungalow became a safe haven - somewhere I could retreat to when things got overwhelming, which they often did in those first few weeks. The therapy sessions were intense. My therapist challenged me to confront issues I'd been avoiding for years. It wasn't comfortable, but I slowly began to see patterns in my behavior that I'd never noticed before. The group sessions were tough at first - opening up to strangers isn't my strong suit. But over time, I found comfort in the shared experiences of others. What surprised me most were the holistic aspects of the program. I'd always rolled my eyes at things like meditation and yoga, but in this setting, they started to make sense. The beach walks became a daily ritual that I looked forward to - a chance to clear my head and prepare for the day ahead. The beautiful surroundings of Hua Hin definitely helped. There's something about being in nature that puts things in perspective. The excursions were a nice break from the intensity of the program, allowing me to experience Thai culture and remember that there's a whole world out there. It wasn't all smooth sailing. There were days when I wanted to quit, when the work felt too hard. But the staff were always there, encouraging me without pushing too hard. They seemed to understand the delicate balance between support and self-reliance. As my time at The Diamond came to an end, I felt a mix of excitement and fear. I was eager to apply what I'd learned but worried about facing the real world again. The aftercare planning helped ease some of those concerns. Now, a month out, I can say that the experience has had a profound impact on my life. I'm using the tools I learned every day. Some days are harder than others, but I feel more equipped to handle life's challenges. I'm sleeping better, my relationships are improving, and for the first time in a long time, I'm hopeful about the future. The Diamond isn't magic - it required hard work and commitment on my part. But it provided the supportive environment and professional guidance I needed to make real changes. I'm grateful for the experience and would recommend it to anyone who's ready to do the work of transforming their life.
